Here at AHPLA we are a happy team of translators and interpreters from all over the world, of various ages, experiences, interests and cultural backgrounds. By joining our team as a translator or interpreter you will be part of the most prestigious group of professionals in the American continent. The requirements in terms of areas of expertise include both common and very specialized fields. Some examples include legal documents such as certificates and writs, and medical terminology, just to name a few. Both our translators write in their mother tongue (target language), and our interpreters express themselves verbally in their first language.
You – the AHPLA translator
There is no stereotypical AHPLA translator or interpreter. There is a place in the company for professionals from all over the world, of either sex, of various ages with different work experiences. However we most definitely are looking for educated and intelligent professionals who posses a complete command of their first language, who work well as part of a team, have a flexible attitude, and are open to new ideas. Experience is naturally an advantage and a background in the field required is also useful. Our interpreters and translators adhere themselves to our clients’ specific and rigorous standards using specialized vocabulary and glossaries in order to translate documents that meet the highest standards and transmit messages clearly.
Our AHPLA interpreters work in a great many places both in Mexico and abroad. Although the AHPLA commitment with our translators and interpreters is based on a by-project basis, oftentimes we establish long-term business relationships. We offer a bi-annual bonus system and a competitive rate.

Here at AHPLA we are a happy team of instructors from all over the world, of various ages, experiences, interests and cultural backgrounds.
In the teaching field, we offer global and business English courses to executives, Spanish instruction to foreigners, Chinese, French courses, Portuguese and occasionally German. Our classes are held at various locations throughout Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara at all levels ranging from basic to advanced and beyond including courses tailored to suit individual and business needs. In order to fit in with the executive’s working day, classes are almost exclusively early morning (7 – 9 am or so) and late afternoon (5 – 7 pm or so).
You – the AHPLA Instructor
There is no stereotypical AHPLA instructor. There is a place in the company for instructors from all over the world, of either sex, of various ages with different work experiences. However we most definitely are looking for educated, intelligent, fluent speakers of English, Spanish and other common languages who work well as part of a team, have a flexible attitude, and are open to new ideas. Experience is naturally an advantage and a business background is also useful.
We put all new instructors through an orientation and training course. We firmly believe that we must continue to provide them with resources and fully support them throughout their classes with us.
Our AHPLA meetings pull everyone together socially, maintain team spirit and enable us to pass on important points of information and provide further training for our instructors. There are also opportunities for further involvement with AHPLA in areas such as sales, marketing, the development of new materials and the administration of placement tests to new students who want to take our language programs.
We expect a minimum of 6 months commitment from our instructors and in return offer a competitive and guaranteed rate of pay on established dates as well as a bi-annual bonus plan, a minimum of one week’s paid vacation at Christmas or Easter. Although we can offer no financial help with accommodation, as a team working closely together, we usually know somebody who knows somebody who...........!!!
